Decorate your garland with your family

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 La Granja Foods Sponge Ring
  • Eggs and chocolate shapes from La Granja Foods
  • Fruits of your choice: strawberries, raspberries, oranges, etc
  • 250 ml of fresh whipping cream
  • 2 bars of milk chocolate or dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

ELABORATION

The idea of this recipe is to enjoy it as a family and let the little ones decorate it however they like!

  1. Start by cutting the Garland in half so you can fill it. Cut the fruit into small pieces and whip 250 ml of the cream. For whipping, use 250 ml of cream. To get a nice, firm texture, make sure the cream is very cold (you can place it in the freezer for 30 minutes before whipping it). It’s important to use a whisk, either manual or electric, and never a blender, as it will cause the cream to split.
  2. Fill a piping bag with the whipped cream, then stuff the Garland and decorate with the cut fruits (we used oranges). Now, let’s make the chocolate coating to pour over the Garland. In a saucepan, combine 50 ml of cream, butter, and one bar of chocolate. Stir until the mixture is melted, then spread it over the cake ring. We recommend doing this process on a tray to avoid mess.
  3. Now, the most fun part! We’ll make a chocolate nest to place on top of the Garland and add the eggs. In the microwave, melt the other bar of chocolate. Inflate a balloon and, using a spoon, cover the balloon with the melted chocolate to form a nest shape like the one in the picture. Let it chill in the fridge until the chocolate hardens, then pop the balloon to place the nest on top of the Garland.
  4. Decorate as you like with chocolate eggs, fruit, feathers, or chicks… The more imagination, the better!
