Our fairy cakes and sponge cakes, prepared using the original recipe from our grandmother Amparo, are the actual origin of La Granja and their success was the basis for subsequent development of the company. These are traditional confectionery products which are very popular in our area, so standing out is not easy except by providing distinctive quality the palate clearly notes.

La Granja Foods and Social Responsibility
Since its origins, La Granja has been especially aware and sensitive to the integration of people with functional diversity.
That is why we collaborate with entities dedicated to helping people with disabilities or special needs.
La Granja collaborates with Fundació L’Espiga de Vilafranca del Penedès, since its creation in 1991. The purpose of this entity in our local environment is the promotion of assistance, teaching and generic and specific training, and, in general, of any activity that favors the social inclusion of people with disabilities. (www.fundaciolespiga.com) La Granja cooperates regularly with the Fundació Pro-Penedès, which seeks the social and economic promotion of the region, carrying out, among other things, labor insertion actions with people with any type of physical, mental or sensory handicap and in risk of social exclusion. Another of La Granja’s ways of collaborating is with the cooperative group of entities and social enterprises Entrem-hi, specifically in the Junts Trenquem el Cercle! With the support of Obra Social La Caixa and managed thanks to an economic fund with contributions from a network of solidarity companies committed to training, work placements and the hiring of people at risk of exclusion are promoted. Among the companies involved is La Granja.
What is the IFS FOOD certification?
We have the IFS 2023 certificate with a High Level result, and for 9 consecutive years we have been obtaining the IFS certification annually.
IFS Food is a food safety standard recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) to audit companies that manufacture food. In the same way, also to companies that handle and package food products in bulk, focusing on the quality and food safety of processed products.
